Greetings! I should be studying, but something’s come up and I just can’t delay it any further as it has happened a couple times already.

Please, please, please ask for my permission first before turning one of my drawings into a tattoo!! I find it very flattering (seriously, *blushies*) that there are people who like my ponies and unicorns to that extent, but I still struggle to grasp the concept of someone wanting to put my drawings on their bodies permanently...

Most importantly though - and is the thing that bothers me most - is that some drawings I have up in my gallery are of characters that do not belong to me (or Hasbro) and were specifically drawn for the person who owns that character. I don’t know how they'd feel about having their character tattooed on someone else, but I know for sure I’d be uncomfortable if I had one of my own designed ponies like Silver Shadow or Dream Chaser tattooed on someone I didn’t know and hadn't asked if it was alright by me. =\ So please, also ask for the owner’s permission – some people probably wouldn’t mind, but others may have a personal attachment to a particular character of theirs and would be a little bothered by it. It’s best to check.

Please be considerate and ask before doing your own little thing, be it turning a drawing into tattoo or something else. Read my artist comments on a drawing – I always say who the pony/other belongs to and if the drawing is a gift, trade or whatnot. Also, if interested in a drawing as a tattoo, send me a note rather than just a comment. I’m busy with uni and have a mass of comments I keep getting lost in – a note will direct my attention immediately when I login rather than me needing to swim through messages and missing bits and pieces.

Again I ask; please ask for my permission - and permission of the owner of the character - first and ensure you have my/our permission as I would appreciate it heaps more than people just jumping out and surprising me. Thanks! =D

p.s. Thanks to everyone who commented on the last journal and offered support – you're right. The troubles did come to pass eventually. It took time, but it's turned out alright. :blowkiss: Besides, this weeks a good one because after tomorrow, I have the rest of the week off. Gonna spent my time sleeping and stocking up on chocolate for Easter. :P

Nope. I haven't asked the people for pictures... but with people asking and/or saying they've got my drawings as tattoos, it's made me wary, thus leading to me putting up this journal just to give guidance to those who had ideas... Heh, I probably should demand for photos though :XD: It's be interesting to see.

That is what I was thinking...which ones did they use? I totally agree that its rude btw. I had someone do it to me too. But I never saw pics...bummer. I at least wanted to see.

Its rude to take someone elses drawings/art and turn it into a tattoo...but thats something thats kinda hard to govern on the internet..bascially not much can be done to stop.
But everyone should have common sense..or common courtsey to ask 1st before using the image.
Atleast, thats what i did. I found an image on here that i like and wanted to get it inked...So, of course it made sense to me to ask permission 1st...and i was granted permission and that artist was also willing to do another drawing that i wanted and let me get that one inked as well.
All in all to me i should common sense/courtsey to ask 1st. If i got turned down...i'd be respectful of the artist decision...Afterall ppls artwork is a part of their soul/themselves and some ppl dont wanna part with it.
Okay, i should stop rambling now :giggle:

Why does Dr Pepper come in a bottle?

Because his wife's dead.
I will admit I would LOVE to get the drawing you did of my Night Star done as a tattoo.

But I would ask first

Vitam et sanguinem- "Life and Blood"
So far from what I know, someone's apparently got the Innocence pegasus and a couple have asked about The Last Unicorn Lineart (not the mlp one). I'm curious to see photos of the innocence pegasus one, but the thing that worries me a little is that that pony doesn't belong to me, but is actually a persona of someone else. I think someone's also asked for permission for Neri's MLP last unicorn drawing, but that pony is also not of my design, but belonging to someone else... so it's a little complicated I suppose. =\

lol! :aww: Aww, I wouldn't mind you getting a tattoo of the Night Star I drew for you; she's of your pony design and I did draw her for you, though I appreciate the thought of you asking all the same. =)

 I'm glad you understand what I'm getting across. =3 but yeah, it's hard to prevent people from doing that - turning pictures they find on the internet into tattoos - because, well, it's not really like you'd be able to see it on them in reallife and they could find a way of just not telling you. lol. Also, there's the matter that once it's on the skin, it's probably a pain to remove and they'd probably not bother. *shrug*

Yea, but there are a few of us out there..that do actually ask 1st & are very respectful if the artist says 'no' =D
